Independent Norwich is a directory of independent local businesses in Norwich, UK. This policy explains what personal data we collect through this website and how we use it.

What we collect

When a business applies to be listed through our contact form we collect the business name, category, contact name, email address and, optionally, a phone number, website and address, together with the message you send us. If your application is approved we create an account for you and store the credentials and listing details you provide.

How we use it

We use application details solely to review the application, contact you about it and, if approved, publish the business listing you manage. We do not sell personal data or share it with third parties for marketing.

Legal basis and retention

We process application data on the basis of legitimate interest (running the directory) and account data to perform our agreement with listed businesses. Rejected applications are kept for a reasonable period for record-keeping and then deleted.

Under UK GDPR you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data. Contact us through the contact page to exercise these rights.
